It was good and I liked the perspective shift to Suwa, but I don't think it was a necessary addition to the story overall。 Still, it was nice to have some more time with these characters。 I really liked to see them more human and self-preserving approach in him than his selfless self we were shown in the main volumes。Also, the time jumps between the present and the future could have been done much more smoothly as it was a little difficult to grasp without focusing for the first few pages, which It was good and I liked the perspective shift to Suwa, but I don't think it was a necessary addition to the story overall。 Still, it was nice to have some more time with these characters。 I really liked to see them more human and self-preserving approach in him than his selfless self we were shown in the main volumes。Also, the time jumps between the present and the future could have been done much more smoothly as it was a little difficult to grasp without focusing for the first few pages, which resulted in you breaking off from the story frequently。 。。。more

This is the third book in the series and it isn't as good as the other ones but I still liked It。It shows how the future self of one of the main characters dealt with having to keep his emotions to the side to let hims friend be happy。 This is the third book in the series and it isn't as good as the other ones but I still liked It。It shows how the future self of one of the main characters dealt with having to keep his emotions to the side to let hims friend be happy。 。。。more

4 starsthis volume has so many critical reviews but i kinda just read it for my attachment with the characters oops。 i liked it for what it was! because in the previous volumes, kakeru went on about how he felt like his life wouldn’t matter & his place in the friend group was unnecessary but this extension proves that actually,,, kakeru went on to live right in the people he thought would forget about him。 albeit, i thought this would focus more on the “alternate” time line friend group, i still 4 starsthis volume has so many critical reviews but i kinda just read it for my attachment with the characters oops。 i liked it for what it was! because in the previous volumes, kakeru went on about how he felt like his life wouldn’t matter & his place in the friend group was unnecessary but this extension proves that actually,,, kakeru went on to live right in the people he thought would forget about him。 albeit, i thought this would focus more on the “alternate” time line friend group, i still found this to be enjoyable。 more sadder :’(。。。 but still enjoyable 。。。more

Like many fans, I don’t really feel that this addition was needed。 The jump in timelines (and parallel universes?) was really confusing。 I would have rather been left wondering how certain things played out。

Because I felt like Orange ended so abruptly, I decided to read this continuation。 It isn’t necessary and doesn’t really add anything。 It does however, focus on Suwa and the initial timeline。The storytelling isn’t as seamless as it’s predecessors, and at times I was confused about what time the characters were in。 As I love Suwa as a character I enjoyed exploring his motivations and why he was so selfless in the series。 It’s more of a prequel than a sequel。 I did love the overall message and mea Because I felt like Orange ended so abruptly, I decided to read this continuation。 It isn’t necessary and doesn’t really add anything。 It does however, focus on Suwa and the initial timeline。The storytelling isn’t as seamless as it’s predecessors, and at times I was confused about what time the characters were in。 As I love Suwa as a character I enjoyed exploring his motivations and why he was so selfless in the series。 It’s more of a prequel than a sequel。 I did love the overall message and meaning behind this spinoff。 The authors note at the end also really tied everything together。 A good read if you want a bit more but doesn’t add anything to the initial ending。 。。。more

Really liked this edition to the Orange story。 I really like Suwa as a character, he is really lovely and sweet。 I can relate to him very much because of his need to be there for people and placing himself as second best。 He deserves so much happiness and love。 I wasn’t a big Kakeru and Naho shipper, would really loved to see Suwa and Naho together in any future。

am i weird for liking this significantly more than probably some of the moments in the original manga? i watched the movie for this and literally bawling all night (granted, I watched it at night) because it was so bittersweet to me。

I really like Suwa as a character, so when I found out that this book was from his point of view it made me really excited to pick this volume up。 Unfortunately, it was a bit of a let down。 The whole volume was simply unnecessary。 It did not add anything at all to the story。 It just showed what we already knew, but then in a confusing way。 Furthermore, the jumps between the different timelines was extremely confusing。 I was never sure if this was a completely different timeline, the timeline in I really like Suwa as a character, so when I found out that this book was from his point of view it made me really excited to pick this volume up。 Unfortunately, it was a bit of a let down。 The whole volume was simply unnecessary。 It did not add anything at all to the story。 It just showed what we already knew, but then in a confusing way。 Furthermore, the jumps between the different timelines was extremely confusing。 I was never sure if this was a completely different timeline, the timeline in which the characters received the letters or if it was the timeline in which the characters initially wrote the letters。 Very confusing。 On top of that, this mainly focused on the romance in stead of the emotional punch。 Of course the romance is part of it, but I still would have wanted to read about they way ALL the characters(I have put it in caps lock, because the other people in their friend group hardly get any recognition or 'screen time' when they as well received letters and had to deal with the tragic events) deal with the loss and events that happened to them。 It still felt, like I mentioned in my review of the previous volume, namely Orange the complete edition volume 2, that Suwa has mental problems himself which are not recognised and dealt with unfortunately。 This could have been explored, because he completely rules himself out。 。。。more

I just have to give my props to the man。 I just found that so heartbreaking but I also wanted his character to have a happy ending too becaus I'm giving this 5 stars because I love Suwa's character。 When reading the series for the first time the thought crossed my mind about how saving Kakeru would affect Suwa's future relationship with Naho。 This guy literally had to give up his future family in order to save his friend。 And he even got to see a photo of his future self with Naho and his child! This part of the story actually depicts what happens after Kakeru dies in the original dimension where the older group of characters exist。 I liked the fact that it was from Suwa's perspective and thus, it felt like I was given a fresh insight on how he decided things。 (Especially since he decided NOT to confess and push Kakeru and Naho together in the other time dimension。)His feelings of playing second fiddle to Kakeru were so valid and as much as it hurts him to know how much Naho loved Kaker This part of the story actually depicts what happens after Kakeru dies in the original dimension where the older group of characters exist。 I liked the fact that it was from Suwa's perspective and thus, it felt like I was given a fresh insight on how he decided things。 (Especially since he decided NOT to confess and push Kakeru and Naho together in the other time dimension。)His feelings of playing second fiddle to Kakeru were so valid and as much as it hurts him to know how much Naho loved Kakeru, he still wanted to protect her and be by her side。 I thought that was pretty sacrificial and touching when he owned up to the fact that he was simply using Kakeru。 However, having read through the series and understanding him as a character, I felt that the "bad light" that this book painted him in was very。。。humanistic。 After all, it's not usual and easy to push the person whom you love to your love rival。 I'm glad this book gave us that closure on how they (Naho and Suwa) had lived after Kakeru's death (because everyone were blaming themselves) and how Naho eventually opened up her heart to Kakeru。 。。。more

i also think that it wasn‘t really necessary but i still enjoyed it。 i didn‘t have a problem with the timelines like many people seem to have actually。 this was mostly about universe a and the beginning was shortly covering universe b where kakeru survives。
